Of course, an arrangement of a bedroom is a very enjoyable. But it is important to take all the details and little things into account for the sense of comfort and joy in the future. Below are the original design features for a bedroom.
Extravagant bedroom design
Conservative bedroom design
A golden specimen of a bedroom in its conservative form of decoration is as follows: a bed in the center of the room with a low headboard, a mirror or picture above it, a couple of bedside tables and table lamps next to.
Teen bedroom design
In this case, it is not so much about age, but about the mood. The teen design has elements from the extravagant style, but there are no explicit mismatched decorations. Walls are usually pasted with colorful wallpaper or painted with coatings of unusual shades and their combinations. It is possible to use decorative film applications in the form of flowers, cityscapes, inscriptions in foreign languages, etc.
Royal bedroom design
First of all, royal style means good sizes, ie, room area of the bedroom should freely accommodate a large bed with a headboard, or, for example, an unusual, richly draped canopy. It is best to give preference to antique furniture. Choose textiles from the collections based on archival drawings. Also, do not forget about the stucco, carpentry or window sashes, and it is desirable that they are as close to the valuable historical models as possible. For inspiration, you can go to a castle or museum.
Rustic bedroom design
Country style is called for ages by no accident, because of every year designers come up with something new to give the proven country classics an actual meaning. Bedroom decoration, in this case, implies different elements of the decor, reminding of the rural life one way or another. This can be simple furniture, checkered or conventional pattern linens, simple curtains and rugs. True followers of this design use wicker furniture and some parts of the interior may even be made with the use of unprocessed “natural” birch boards or cracked and chipped beams.
Bedroom design: attention to detail
Bed location plays a particular importance in the design of the bedroom. There are several options for its placement in the bedroom:
- against the wall – bed is moved to a wall;
- island – bed installed in a special way so that it could not touch the walls, forming a sort of island. In this case, it can have a massive structure and consist of bulky carcass¸ canopy and bed curtains
- in a niche. It is possible to integrate the bed in a niche that can be contrasting against the general background of the interior or draped with a spectacular original fabric;
- on a podium. Constructively this technique looks like a podium with steps, on which a large bouncy and sizeable mattress with the necessary linen, or any other necessary attributes for sleep.
- mezzanine. An unusual and modern way of effective and functional zoning of the area for sleeping – bed is arranged on the constructed second level. Thanks to this technique, there is additional space for easy organization of wardrobe or workplace.
A great influence on the perception of the bedroom design is made by the nuances of the selected colors for the subsequent wall finishing. This is because a color is one of the most important decorative elements since it is the first thing that catches the eye. It can express personality and even personal characteristics of the owner of the apartment. Each color has a different meaning:
White – a cool, calm color creating a sense of simplicity, ease and modesty;
Gray – dull, causing boredom and apathy;
Black – heavy and dark color, dramatically reducing the mood and causing discomfort;
Brown – gives a feeling of comfort and warmth, creating light and calm mood;
Purple – reduces activity, slows down some vital processes in the body;
Blue – is a passive color, as it helps to reduce activity and emotional stress;
Green – a neutral color not having any significant effect on a person;
Yellow – creates a feeling of sunlight in the interior, invigorates, revitalizes and improves mood, increases efficiency;
Blue – passive, quiet and cool color. Has the same properties as the blue, but at the same time causes an inclination to contemplation and meditation;
Red – stimulates, with a short influence has a positive effect on the perception of tones;
Orange – creates a buoyant and cheerful mood, causing a feeling of warmth, has a positive effect on improving efficiency.
If desired, you can use bright and vibrant colors in the interior of the bedroom, and if the owner likes to experiment with design, red or dark blue shades can be used for decoration. Terracotta and maroon colors look very noble on the walls as light lines and dull flooring or carpets look naturally against their background.
